George Atalla is a development professional with extensive experience providing entitlement, land use, and CEQA consulting services for both private developers and public agencies throughout Southern California. In his preceding roles, he oversaw the preparation and processing of entitlement applications and CEQA documents for a wide range of industrial, commercial, and residential projects. In doing so, George acted as the lead liaison for complex project teams consisting of private developers, land owners, public agency staff, architects, engineers, and various subconsultants.
Over the course of his career, George has been involved with the entitlement of over 18 million square feet of light industrial & warehouse space, residential master plans comprising over 2,500 homes, and a variety of small-scale commercial developments. As Planning & Entitlements Manager for The True Life Companies in the Southern California Region, George manages the entitlement, forward planning, and land development efforts involved with gaining new approvals for residential communities throughout the Southern California market.
George holds a degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of California, Irvine, and continues to broaden his education by enrolling in real estate development-related courses, such as construction management and real estate financing. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute and NAIOP. He is also an active member of People for Housing OC, an organization advocating for much-needed housing developments in the region. George lives in Costa Mesa with his wife and enjoys camping when it’s warm, skiing when it’s cold, and riding his moped “Lil’ Red” to the sunny SoCal beaches any time in between.
