As Managing Director of North Carolina, David is building a team that will support him as he continues our company’s mission to provide attainable housing in the Mid-Atlantic region. His main responsibilities are to identify, evaluate, and pre-qualify deal flow opportunities, underwrite residential for-sale property acquisitions, organize, and manage due diligence processes and successfully acquire land investments. David also leads the management, coordination, and supervision of entitlements from the necessary governmental jurisdictions, and successful sale and disposition of that asset/project to an eventual home builder buyer.
Prior to joining TTLC, David served as Vice President of Kolter Land Partners and spent 14 years with the company. He was responsible for the strategic asset identification along with direct oversight of community operations in the Raleigh North Carolina market. He helped Kolter expand from Florida and establish the Carolina market where he has found success. Before Kolter, David gained experience with HNC Development Raleigh and started First American, a development, brokerage, and homebuilding company that he would eventually sell in 2001. Later in 2001, he helped to start Westfield homes and grew that to an operation of 1,000 homes when they sold to StanPac in 2007 (acquired by CalAtlantic/Merged with Lennar). At one time, Westfield was the largest townhome builder in the Raleigh and Charlotte market. David managed both vertical and horizonal in his roles at First American and Westfield.
