As Senior Managing Director of Acquisition and Development, David Stearn, works closely with the Southern California property division of The True Life Companies to identify deal opportunities and manage the corresponding due diligence and entitlements. With his primary focus in the severely undersupplied San Diego market, his responsibilities also include the management, coordination and supervision over the entitlements required for a successful sale and subsequent disposition of properties to eventual home builders. Dave is a respected industry veteran with extensive experience in the San Diego Market, including as Chairman of the San Diego Building Association. With a strong knowledge of all markets throughout the Region, he will leverage his relationships to further the growth of TTLC in Southern California.

Prior to joining The True Life Companies David served in various roles with major public builders including as Sr. VP, Land & Planning for D.R. Horton, where he also acted as Area Manager for the San Diego Area, as well as Vice President level positions in charge of Acquisitions, Forward Planning, & Development with Lennar, Beazer, Taylor Woodrow, and most recently at TriPointe, where he was a key manager in their highest performing Division.

David earned his BS in City and Regional Planning from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and later his Masters of Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California. In his spare time David enjoys traveling with his family, hiking and skiing.
