Gordon Jones has a wealth of experience in the homebuilding industry, honed over more than 30 years in senior management positions for public and private companies across the U.S.  He has developed a strong leadership style and acute skill set, established through a high work ethic, integrity and teamwork. Through his expertise in managing growth and P&L, Gordon brings decisive leadership talent to his role as Regional Vice President of the Southern California region for The True Life Companies.

Most recently, Gordon served as the West Region President for Meritage Homes, leading six divisions throughout California, Colorado and part of Arizona, and growing operating income 16% in the region. He maintained direct responsibility for the company’s P&L, representing over 40% of the company’s revenue, profit and balance sheet.

Previously, he served as Division President for Northern California. During his tenure new home closings more than doubled under his direction. Gordon joined Lennar as Vice President of Regional Operation for the West Region, where responsibilities included land acquisition throughout the Southern California marketplace and oversight of the Denver and Seattle Divisions. Gordon also held the role of Southwest Region President at Intermandeco, Ltd., a private residential land investment and development company based in Southern California, where he guided the company’s growth and expansion in the region.

Over a twenty-year period from 1988 to 2008, Gordon cultivated an impressive track record with D.R. Horton, including serving as the Chief Operating Officer of Central U.S. Operations, responsible for $3 billion in assets across 16 divisions in 9 states.  Gordon began his employment with D.R. Horton as Vice President of Land Acquisition and Development for the firm’s Dallas and Fort Worth Divisions, before being promoted to President of the Dallas division in 1998. Gordon then continued on to a position as Regional President for the company’s South Region in 2001.

Gordon is passionate about the homebuilding industry and bringing home ownership to the market. He is active in HomeAid, Habitat for Humanity, and he was a member of the Bush Administration’s 2006 Gulf Coast Business Investment Mission. Gordon earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration-Finance from Regis University. Gordon lives in Newport Beach with his wife of 33 years, is an avid outdoor sports fan, including hiking, skiing, golfing and longboarding. He most enjoys the outdoors when he can share it with his family including 3 daughters and their husbands.
