Mark Foster began his career in project development fourteen years ago as a financial analyst for hotels and commercial land development projects. His well-rounded background includes lending, acquisitions and asset management, with a range of experience covering financial analysis, opportunity identification and acquisition, land development and permitting, and contract negotiation.
With the majority of his background steeped in real estate investment analysis and real estate project development, Mark is well versed in project feasibility. Among his most recent positions, Mark served as Vice President Real Estate at Under Canvas a luxury resort camping company. Prior to that he held the role of Development Manager at Topgolf, where he successfully completed $600 million in development, delivering 15 new locations in major metro regions of the country. Mark also served as Development Land Acquisition Manager at Forum Real Estate Group, a private equity group focused on multi-family.
Well-versed in sourcing underutilized properties for development opportunities, Mark has lead various stakeholders through complex negotiations including site feasibility studies and market analysis. His approach is based on an educational process which includes analytics, development/zoning restrictions, and design and permitting issues. He is also skilled in public presentations.
Mark holds an MBA with a focus in Corporate/Strategic Finance from the University of Denver, Daniels College of Business. He also earned a Masters degree in Real Estate Finance and Construction Management from the University of Denver, Burns School of Real Estate and Construction Management. Mark holds a Real Estate Brokers License and is pursuing a Series 79 license. He is an active member of Casting4ACure: Rhettssyndrome.org and Big Brother. In his spare time he enjoys the Colorado Rockies whether taking advantage of the rivers to fly-fish or visiting the mountains in winter to ski.
