
Scott is an accomplished leader in the new home industry,with a resume that boasts past executive positions with both public and privatehomebuilders over his 39-year career. Initiallyjoining TTLC in early 2013 with the intention to build the property acquisitionteam, Scott went on that same year to generate the enduring strategy that TTLCfollows today in its discovery and execution of property acquisition,entitlements and development. Scott formulated the path to locating sites inmetro locations where housing is in scarce supply and demand is high. Born inthe Bay Area, this strategy has been taken across the country into 7 stateswhere the company operates, building the portfolio of properties at TTLC toinclude on average 40 new community sites at any given time. In 2021 Scottenvisioned, along with then CEO Scott Clark, the expansion of TTLC to includehomebuilding operations under the banner Homes Built for America. This allowedTTLC to bring true vertical integration into the Company’s business model andaugment performance. As CEO Scott continues to build TTLC and HBFA as strongfirms with a solid commitment to bringing much needed housing to the country’smetro regions where supply is scarce and demand is strong.
Scott’s career includes key roles with private homebuilderssuch as Waypoint Homes, Arbor Development Group, SummerHill Homes, and SheaHomes, as well as with public companies such as Trumark Companies, Ryland Homesand Taylor Morrison Homes. Menard’s hands-on expertise envelops all aspects ofthe new home industry, from land acquisition, planning and construction topurchasing, sales and marketing. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology fromthe University of California, Santa Barbara and is currently pursuing a Master’sin Business Administration from Humphreys University.
