Description
Primary Responsibilities
- Research assigned market areas and create a database of all available land opportunities for development; cross reference with local planning departments to determine development feasibility
- Research and analyze market strength of all new home neighborhoods through model walks and interviews with sales representatives
- Provide financial analysis with forecasting and budgeting in accordance with project’s scope and schedule
- Follow and maintain project status updates to update schedules, evaluate technical alternatives, and identify land risk, as needed
- Provide informational support to inquiries needed for executive and investor reporting
- Develop content for internal and external land acquisition meetings including landowner meetings, land acquisition firm meetings, and client committee meeting
- Work with various contacts (municipal officials, landowners, planners, attorneys, engineers, brokers, real estate agents) to identify opportunities to improve acquisition processes related to right of entry, appraisals, permits, zoning, engineering plans, improvement estimates, soils/geology, and building costs
- Ensure that all land acquisition processes are followed
- Engage in benchmarking studies to establish areas of potential operational improvement
- Perform other duties as assigned

Experience/Education:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in single family real estate and land development business
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Smartsheet and Power Point) - advanced and proficient knowledge of Excel required, familiarity with Apple Operating Systems
