David Garin possesses a wealth of expertise covering a broad spectrum of accounting, compliance, and reporting from his 26-year career. His experience as a Controller at multiple publicly traded companies contributes an SEC level of experience and standards to accounting, investor reporting, and SOX level of compliance.

David brings a balanced skill set to his role as Vice President of Finance & Accounting at The True Life Companies enabling an elevated level of performance in accounting, reporting, and compliance. With responsibliity for all financial matters related to the Company, David creates financial plans that increase efficiency and help scale the Company. David directs all aspects of our accounting operations including project accounting, payroll and financial reporting. He guides financing strategies, and manages analysis, forecasting and budgets.

Previously, David served as Controller at Musclepharm Corporation, a publicly traded company focused on the development and distribution of nutritional and sports supplements. At Musclepharm, he oversaw accounting and reporting, compliance, and developing systems and processes that streamlined organizational operations. Prior to his role at Musclepharm, he served as Controller at Pure Cycle Corporation, a publicly traded company operating surface and subsurface water assets for a 4,000 plus home community.

David previously held roles at JASB Corporation and Amiworld Inc, a global private equity investment firm where he served as Controller and then Chief Financial Officer. His core responsibilities included consolidated financial reporting, regulatory and compliance, and corporate structuring, among others. Among his notable accomplishments, he managed the consolidation of financial reporting across 5 divisions in 4 countries, with timely SEC reporting on 3 foreign exchanges. David implemented corporate policies and SOX compliance by instituting regulatory and quality improvement initiatives that achieved the successful registration and continued listings of securities.

David began his career in public accounting specializing in Real-Estate Construction, Development and Property Management. He earned his Master in Accountancy from the University of Denver, and his B.A. in Business Administration, Accounting and Computer Science from Western State College of Colorado. David is a CPA, CGMA, and he is affiliated with AICPA, COCPA, FEI, and FENG. David’s interests include fishing, hiking and DIY home improvement projects as part of his relaxation regimen.
